Artist Biography


Jarman was primarily a landscape and figurative painter influenced heavily by Henry Scott Tuke. He exhibited frequently between 1899 and  1938 living most of his active painting life in Leytonstone, Essex and West Hampstead from 1914. He exhibited 15 times at the Royal Academy as well as with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Society of British Artists.
