Large circa 1900 portrait of a British Bulldog, oil on canvas by Hay Hutchison. Excellent quality and condition British Bulldog portrait and an early important study of the breed. The painting came from an estate in West Sussex acquired by the family in the 1950's from a London dealer and is believed to be called "Blue" originally commissioned to be painted by its owners circa 1900.
