Large 19th Century Newlyn School portrait of a seated nude male, oil on canvas by Harold William Boutcher. Excellent quality and condition full length nude studio portrait. Presented in a gilt frame. Boutcher, born in London and a frequent exhibitor at the Royal Academy was close friends with fellow Newlyn School painters Stanhope Forbes, Henry Scott Tuke & Harold Harvey. He died at the age of 36 and as a result his works are rare and seldom come up for public sale.
