Large 19th Century Impressionist Nude Lady by Albert de Belleroche (1864-1944)
Large 19th Century Impressionist nude of a woman in a woodland, oil on. canvas by Albert de Belleroche. Excellent quality and condition example of the French painters work, signed with retrospective exhibition label verso. Presented in a good period gilt frame.
Measurements: 40" x 33.5" framed approx
Artist Biography
Belleroche studied with Carolus Duran, and exhibited with the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts from 1887, the year in which he submitted a self-portrait. He was commended at the Salon of 1890, and exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1907and the Salon d'Automne from 1909 to 1932. His lithographs feature female portraits, landscapes and still-lifes; they were shown in Vienna in 1902-1903, and London in 1906.
