Large 18th Century Italian Portrait Piedmont General & Nobleman, House Of Savoy
Fine large 18th Century portrait of a Piedmont Noble and Military Officer, oil on canvas. Superb detail portrait of the nobleman pointing to the city in the distance wearing armour and a white and red sleeve jacket. Probably a General of the House of Savoy during the rule of Victor Amadeus II of Sardinia, Superb detail by an accomplished painter and rare early portrait from a key part of The House Of Savoys historic dynasty follow several successful campaigns and wars. Presented in an antique ebonies frame.
