Fine large 17th Century Dutch interior scene with peasants preparing a pig carcass, oil on panel by Bartholomeus Molenear. Excellent example of the artists work and on a larger scale than you would normally expect capturing a group of peasants makes preparations for the carcass. The panel condition is very good with the surface clean and in original unrestored condition. Presented in a superb ebonised frame. Signed faintly beneath the table.
