Circa 1940 Scottish portrait of young master Robert Dempster, oil on canvas by Arthur Ferrier. Seated portrait of the young man wearing his private school uniform, signed bottom left. Presented in a good gilt frame. Arthur Ferrier was a Scottish illustrator and cartoonist who worked for the Daily Record as well as Punch magazine. He painted during World War I and his work is held in The Imperial War Museum.
