Large 18th Century Italian Old Master Architectural Capriccio of Alexander the Great making a sacrifice at the Temple of Achilles. Exceptional detail and grand scale early Italian Master. The scene itself is rarely portrayed in early art though Panini produced a couple of different versions all on a smaller scale to this work. Could be enhanced with restoration. Presented in an antique gilt frame.
