The 3rd Foot Grenadier Regiment of the Imperial Guard or the 'Dutch Grenadiers' were a part of Napoleon's Imperial Guard. The regiment was first raised in 1804 and was formally incorporated into the Imperial Guard in 1810 following the annexation of the Kingdom of Holland. The Dutch regiment maintained their white uniforms and acted as the Palace Guards in Paris during 1811, before fighting bravely in the Russian campaign of 1812. The regiment was disbanded after Napoleon's abdication in 1815.
