Fine 16th Century Italian Old Master scene of the massacre Of The Innocents, oil on canvas. Early and important work that has come from the workshop of Tintoretto, possibly by the artist himself. Another similar version authenticated to Tintoretto is owned by the Scuola di San, Venice. The work was later printed in 1600 by Aedigius Sadeler II. Excellent condition for its age with little signs of over cleaning, in touching or restoration. Presented in a superb antique gilt frame with plaque.
